IG Unit Information
We custom make IG units in various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses, and we specialize in making IG's for curved and beveled applications.
We use a top-quality foam-based spacer that contains a desiccant (to absorb moisture) which be believe to be superior to the standard metal spacers normally found in other factory-built units. Our spacers come in black and gray.
Our standard finished thicknesses include 3/8”, 7/16”, 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, 1”, and 1 1/4". We stock spacers in 3/16”, 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2", 5/8”, and 3/4" thicknesses, so paired with our standard glass thicknesses, we can meet most any thickness requirement. We often bevel the outside pane of the unit resulting in a thinner profile which means we can use thicker glass and fit it into a standard rabbet. Also, we do a lot of IG's that have a specialty glass on one side (e.g. seedy or rain or low-e) and clear on the inside that creates a great one-of-a-kind look.
NOTE that our minimum unit thicknesses are 3/8” annealed and 7/16” tempered.
