Why Use Beveled Glass?

Beveled glass is widely used as a decorative glass feature in doors, windows, and furniture, like glass table tops. Beveling the edges of glass or mirrors act as a prism that helps to refract light into different colors that has an eye-catching effect. Beveling provides depth and another dimension to the glass.

Beveled glass edges are cut to a specific angle and size to create a refined and framed look. This edging makes the glass narrower and smoother around the edges, while the glass center remains thicker.

We utilize the very best Italian glass machines from Bavelloni to help us bevel glass of every size, from small components to large applications, from squared glass to radius mirrors. With our Bavelloni SB-10 machines, we are able to do radius beveling, cutout bevels, including diameters, arches and almost any flat glass design.

At Clearlight Glass, we have been providing custom-beveled glass and beveled mirrors for nearly 30 years. We can handle any beveled glass application; we have done everything from custom countertops, glass table tops, shower enclosures, and beautiful beveled mirrors for various residential and commercial uses.

Bevel Sizes

Please refer to the table below to see what size bevel can be achieved on a specific thickness of glass.  Due to the physical differences between the straight line and shape machines, some wider bevels are not available on thinner glass.  If the width you want is not listed, then we do not normally fabricate that combination but we may be able to help. Please contact us for the availability and pricing of non-standard beveling.

Inside Corner Bevels

Our standard glass beveling machines have a minimum 2” inside radius limitation for polished edges and 3” inside radius for beveling.  Therefore, we cannot do an exact inside right angle nor smaller radius curves. The edge/bevel will follow the radius line as shown in the dotted lines below, then it can be cut back to match the pattern.
